KERALA, INDIA – I was extremely happy to have a chance to take a trip to Kerala, India – also known as God’s Own Country. The natural beauty, the friendliness of the people, and the amazingly flavorful food, is what makes Kerala so special. Thanks to Ebbin from Food N Travel ( ) who took us on an ultimate food tour of Kerala. Can’t wait to share all of the videos with you.

Kannur – We started in the North of Kerala, the Malabar Coast on the Arabian Sea. Kannur, is a friendly town, laid back, and there’s plenty of amazing street food to try.

Onakkan Bharathi (Puttu Restaurant, Kannur) – We started this Indian street food tour with puttu, mutton curry, and a variety of lentils and chickpeas for breakfast. The combination was fantastic, perfect harmony of spice and flavor. The heat mostly came from black pepper. Total price – 286 INR ($4.03)

Kerala crunchy snacks – Thanks to Roshan from Seashell Haris Beach Home in Kannur, for taking us to eat local snacks all drenched in chutney. I wasn’t all that excited at first for snacks in glass jugs – but the chutney blew me away. Unbelievable flavors coming out of that chutney and pickled snacks. 10 INR ($0.14) – Price per bowl

Street Mussels – Next up on this Kerala street food tour, we went to an afternoon snack stall specializing in mainly hot masala mussels, which were formed into dumpling like shapes, and fried in hot coconut oil. They were superb, as were everything else. 200 INR ($2.81) – Price for everything

Chili Soda – Finally to end this food tour of Kannur, we had a soothing chili and coriander soda – they put pickled chillies and coriander in pineapple juice in a soda. It’s amazing.

      For an indian this question is irrelevant… for Kerala to us is god’s own country
      India offcourse is a diverse land of culture and food varies at every 100 meters… all with their own speciality… I want to make my second trip in this life, god willing

    God, I don’t need a billion dollar, don’t need a tesla or a bugatti just want the ability to have a roof over my head, clothes to cover my body and such mouth watering food to fill my stomach and heart. Amen.

      Masala dosa, idli, vada n sambar are all Karnataka or Tamil Nadu food. Not all of South India is Tamil speaking or Tamil looking. It’s a diverse region. I don’t blame ppl, it’s just india media never represent South of India. Which is why our Northern indian ppl have no clue about us.

      @qiwoii jealous?? Ha thats super funny. Mallus come to my state to do Rs.7000 job or they go to Tamil Nadu to setup a roadside tea stall or go to middle east to clean toilets. Jealous of that?? Or the bankrupt state Kerala?? My state is ahead in per capita income, tax revenue, agriculture, defence recruitment, UPSC recruitment, IT sector, automotive sector, banking, startups, etc. Jealous of what? ??? But for ISIS recruitment, kerala leaves every state behind. ???? From paris blasts to sri Lanka bombings to recent Afghanistan massacre, kerala always shines in them. No surprise there. Now even some communist loving media houses are exposing radical kerala. UN also recently exposed kerala. ??? Just like your finance minister exposed kerala’s economy. Yeah bro I’m very jealous of that.

      @Prashant Balhara
      Man you North Indians are so hateful towards South Indians. Do y’all ever stop hating on south? I can sense the jealousy y’all have towards us. Stay jealous and mad but you will never be as successful as us.

    3. Noel K Varghese

      @Prashant Balhara Arey FYI the UP and TN has reported the maximum arrests in ISIS recruitment. Please get educated well. But the law and order is an utter failure in UP to stop such violence. As the number1 dumbass “Bhogi Adithyanath” ?is reigning there. Poor fellow..? he doesn’t even know what to do other than worshiping cows?, eating cow dung ??and drinking gomutra…..??? pity on those who hail from such places. Being a Keralite we all know the ISIS recruitment happened in north kerala. And our government has been taken strict action against such practices. But what you’re doing is just copy paste the same content in different comment sections. I’ve seen the same message in many places. That states that you have the clear case of jealousy towards a well educated and well mannered people like us…. Carry on.. ??

    4. Prashant Balhara

      @Noel K Varghese yeah I’m very jealous of a ISIS hotspot, Very jealous of a bankrupt state (your finance minister’s words), very jealous of kerala’s huge job market. Now first be quite and clean the toilet of your middle Eastern owner otherwise he won’t be happy. ???????

    Kerala is one of my favourite places in the world. Went there in the summer of 2016. Varkala was my favourite part of Kerala – we stayed on a beachfront hotel and had dinner on the beach every night. Paradise! Food was amazing too.
